On November 28th, the main structure of China-ASEAN Healthcare Cooperation Center (Guangxi), which was built by the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, was officially capped. This project is a major international medical and health cooperation construction project approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the former National Health and Family Planning Commission. It integrates medical care, scientific and technological innovation, personnel training and academic exchanges. As the largest cross-border medical cooperation entity in southwest China, it will be based in Guangxi, face the southwest China, radiate to ASEAN and countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative".

It is understood that the project has 26 floors, a total construction area of 115,877.2 square meters and 838 beds. Its zone planning is according to the four functions of medical treatment, health care, rehabilitation, medical exchange and training. While meeting the basic medical services, the functional zones like China-ASEAN clinical medical training classroom, China-ASEAN Academic Exchange Hall, China-ASEAN Telemedicine Center and other divisions are more perfect, which is conducive to further serving ASEAN and countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative".

In recent years, under the guidance of developing "building a regional and international medical center facing ASEAN", the hospital released the first China-ASEAN cross-border medical cooperation platform in China. Meanwhile, the China-ASEAN Telemedicine Center project has also been officially approved by the Development and Reform Commission of Guangxi. With the successful capping of the China-ASEAN Healthcare Cooperation Center (Guangxi) today, the "Three in One", online platform + offline entity + service platform, cross-border cooperation ecology has been fully formed. Next year, the center will be officially opened to the outside world. As the largest cross-border medical cooperation entity in southwest China, it will become an important fulcrum to support China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic cooperation.
